Blossoms in the park
After our unsuccessful attempt to see blossoms during our last visit to High Park, we spontaneously decided to pay a visit on a Friday evening.
It was a gloomy evening, though it didn't rain, it was quite chilly and the skies were grey. This resulted in the cherry blossoms looking less sharp than on a day with brilliant blue skies, but they were still a sight to behold.
It was fairly busy, comparable to afternoon hours when I visited several years ago. I thought it was already flooded with people, but was quickly proved wrong when the photographs of the insane crowds of the weekend began to emerge a couple of days later.
There was a fair amount of wind, but since the blossoms just appeared, they were barely budged by the breeze and remained firmly attached to their branches.
We walked over to Roncesvalles for dinner at Cafe Polonez, before heading back home.
