Back to the west coast

This is the dearly delayed post of last year's VIA Rail adventures.

The very first thing we did when we got off the train was book it to our hostel. After we remedied the 4 days of no showering, we headed out for brunch at the nearby Catch 122 Cafe Bistro.

We also lived by JJ Bean, and paid it our first visit of many.

The rest of the day was spent leisurely walking around downtown, picking up some Dollarama items for our room, stumbling across more bears, and ended with super indulgent ice cream and Messenger video chats.

We woke up early the next morning and ventured to Capilano; everyone is right. Just go to Lynn Valley. We learned that owls attack ponytails and got buttons for completing the rainforest explorer booklet.

Dan wasn't scared on the bridge, but this walk was a different story.

We headed back to the city for our second round of JJ Bean... and while looking for a plug, I found the mouse trap with mouse. The staff were really nice about it, and gave us both $10 gift cards for not making a fuss... shush money! We took it.

Then we finally got some Japadog, and sat in the sunny park with other people on their lunch break.

After eating, we decided to trek to Kits Beach by foot.

Then we finally met up with Ran for dinner.

That marks our first two days in Vancouver. More to come!
